Chile-lime mango cup with Tizon

Mango, watermelon and lime in a tall cup, finished with Tizon. Sweet, sour and hot in one bite.

Made with Tizon Lumbre Fuego Seasoning

Steps

  1. Rinse the mangoes and the watermelon under running water before you cut them, so the knife does not carry anything from the rind into the fruit.
  2. Cut the mango off the pit and into thick sticks. Cut the watermelon to the same size so everything stands up in the cup.
  3. Pack the fruit upright into two tall cups. Squeeze half a lime over each.
  4. Shake Tizon over the top, give the cup a twist, and shake once more.
  5. Add chamoy around the rim if you want the classic cart version, and serve with a fork or a skewer.

Tips

Keep cut fruit in the fridge until you serve it. The FDA advises refrigerating anything cut or peeled.

Pineapple and cucumber sticks fit the same cup if your mangoes are not ripe yet.
