Editorial Policy

The recipes and guides here are written by the Tizon team for people who cook and snack with our seasoning and carne seca. They are about how to use the products and how to read the numbers on the package.

Sources

We read the agency pages ourselves before citing them: the USDA FSIS pages on jerky, shelf-stable food and safe cooking temperatures, and the FDA pages on sodium, the Nutrition Facts label, food allergies, MSG and color additives. Every guide lists the pages it relies on and the date we read them.

What we copy from the label

Serving size, sodium, calories, net weight and the ingredient line come off the package, word for word where it matters. If a figure is not on the label, the page does not guess it.

What we never claim

We do not call the seasoning low sodium or healthy, and we do not promise that the jerky is free of anything its label lists. We do not invent reviews, awards or press. Star ratings are the ones shoppers gave each product at our retail partner, shown as totals.

Corrections

If a page gets a figure wrong, write to sazon@thetizon.com and we will fix it at the next update.
